The Glorious Pile

When my nephew was just a little tike his mommy dressed him in a sharp chambray shirt, cuffed jeans (big enough to fit over the diaper bulge) and a fleece vest. My little sweetie pie wore that most Saturdays as he scooted about the house or out on the town (sometimes with his miniature hiking boots on). Who could blame him? Everybody has a favorite Saturday outfit: something comfy cozy, yet stylish and casual! For years I've tried to fix up this bathroom on my own so I could at least have guests over without cringing.  When I really needed a roommate I couldn't do it because I didn't have the funds to complete it. So I've been saving since last August and I FINALLY finished it! Most of what you see I have hoarded for close to 7 years so I really didn't have to buy anything new, I just needed the physical labor to do the hard stuff and an impossible deadline to motivate me. (I almost made the deadline: my college friend came to visit 3 weeks ago but the final sink wasn't completed yet, so we used a temporary one until the final one was delivered). You know how those magazine layouts of the rooms you love always seem to have subtle touches that just make them special? I've often noticed a little drum like ceramic stool that serves as a cocktail side table, seat or accent piece in a room. But since I renovated my master bath a number of years ago, I've been searching for the perfect shower seat. Not the old lady plastic kind or the teak seat that will eventually fall apart, but something small, durable and stylish that I can sit on and meditate in my steam shower.
