Time to Party on the Road

That was the name of a mix tape my sister and I made back in the 80's!  I was reminded of it this past weekend when I took a used dishwasher I got at Habitat for Humanity's ReStore to my rental unit which is 250 miles away.  My last post was about junk in the trunk and I had plenty more that I didn't show! You see, I was shopping for a new (used) dishwasher but I didn't want to spend too much money on the unit or the transport of it. With my old car I would've had to hang it out of the trunk or look for someone to transport it for me. Imagine my delight when I measured my new ride and discovered that I could fit a whole dishwasher in there!!!!  That's right, Time to party on the Road! By God's grace I made it there and back  (and it was installed with the help of a nice handyman that I had lined up). Wants vs. Needs

from Pinterest from Anthropologie                   from mint.com Doing some personal reflection about wants versus needs... even though I really, really want that crocheted dress from Anthropologie AND it's on sale,  I have to really hunker down and cut the fat out of my budget. So I'm recycling some things, giving away some things that don't really have a monetary value to me, updating my budget, and taking stock of what I REALLY need vs. What I REALLY want. my God shall supply all  your  need  according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.  Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever.  Amen. Philippians 4:19  and yes, Some day I want to go to Hawaii and I want a miniature horse for my backyard, and that dress...! I'm nuts, what can I say...I'll have to save up for that! :-)
