What I did last Summer...

With the chill in the air and the Fall officially underway I'm starting to embrace the fact that summer is over.
It was a summer, chock-full of activities... One of them included an attempt to re-style my den/office with things that I already had. With a little paint, a little moving of things, a little imagination and a theme in mind I managed to start transforming my space to a lighter, fresher, beachy-ier, euro ....
junk palace!
In the flux of so many other projects, job ambiguity, working out, car trouble, giving away and transforming the old, I built up a collection of unfinished projects and PILES of things that need to find their place in my new paradise.
Doesn't exactly sound like Feng Shui does it?
Well, even though summer is gone and I might need to turn the heat on soon my den/office needs a good long weekend of concentration. I'm hoping to have some peace of mind soon after a difficult period of emotions. Will I ever be settled?
Probably not, but I need something to throw my attention towards and get my mind off of the challenges.

Now, look at these gorgeous ideas from Pinterest!

there are so many things I love about this room!

TRUST me, I'm taking notes!

Here's a Sneak Peek of my den/office transformation:

14 y.o. sofa with down cushions was in the living room, rarely used but has great bones.
I sold the old sofa a chair on Craigs List to pay some bills, then sold some other stuff to provide for my decorating budget.

love these color combinations

Give me a while as I make the transition with my little dog who is terminally ill.
My place and heart just won't be the same without her.

Hoping you are finding peace in the midst of your projects. Keeping busy is the prescription when life gets all jumbled. All of the pictures are wonderful. Don't you find the best "stuff" on pinterest? Bonnie
